well-being

Things to remember

Well-being focuses on personal and collective perceptions of constraints in the environment, or at work.

The concept of well-being at work is broader than the concept of physical and mental health. Implementing a wellbeing policy in the workplace has a direct impact on reducing psychosocial risks for staff. Its implementation also allows measures to be taken based on the collective climate and motivation in the work of the latter.

Each employee should find a sense of fulfilment and satisfaction in their work with a positive impact on :

-          psychology

-          the physiological state

-          and emotion.

A proactive approach to occupational health

The well-being at work approach aims to develop a concept of efficiency and performance in the workplace. This approach fosters motivation on the one hand, and the involvement of employees in their work on the other.

The new ISO 45001 standard for well-being at work

ISO 45001 introduces better risk management: it reduces work-related injuries, deaths and accidents and occupational diseases. The normative approach focuses on worker well-being, opportunities and quality of work life. The main thrust of the standard is to place employees at the centre of the risk prevention process and to integrate them fully into the management system.

The ISO 45001 standard aims to create safer and better working conditions. In this respect, responsibility for these risks is no longer borne solely by the management team, but also by the employees and all those who work on behalf of the company (third parties).
